Cognizant, Interplay IPOs Meet With Weak Demand

NEW YORK -- The initial public offerings for Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp., a provider of computer and software-development services, and Interplay Entertainment Corp., a developer of entertainment software, were both priced below expectations and didn't fare too much better in the open market.

The weak pricing reflects the tough IPO market in recent weeks, as well as worries about the companies' target markets.
