Critic Reviews for Glee: Season 2
All Critics (10) | Top Critics (7) | Fresh (8) | Rotten (2)
It has become a powerful, promotional machine, long on hype and short on the human feeling - the glee - that once made it so addictive.

When Sunshine covers Beyonce's "Listen" from "Dreamgirls," you instantly realize what made "Glee" so magical in the first place.
On the positive side, it's all done with standard "Glee" fun, the tongue never far from the cheek, and it's punctuated with upbeat musical numbers.

So apart from the sex - sorry, the songs - what is Glee for? It feels like a safe suburban sitcom of the Fifties with 21st-century issues.
The script, and the acting, make it work, brilliantly so: writers and cast have soared high on a very fine cusp and never quite slipped to banal or mawkish.
Last night was another one of those episodes of "Glee" that makes it difficult to continue watching. In the beginning, it felt like the show was very playful about stereotypes. Now, it feels like it's essentiating them.

Formed in 2009, the Archive Team (not to be confused with the archive.org Archive-It Team) is a rogue archivist collective dedicated to saving copies of rapidly dying or deleted websites for the sake of history and digital heritage. The group is 100% composed of volunteers and interested parties, and has expanded into a large amount of related projects for saving online and digital history.
