Families and community

We welcome families and community groups throughout the year to take part in creative activities inspired by the British Library's collections and exhibitions

Our family learning programme supports families to learn together in a fun and relaxed way. Everyone’s welcome and, best of all, we won’t ever ask you to keep the noise down!

Join us for free workshops and full day events or visit at any time to explore our building using our Family Trail to guide you.

Our Family Trail will take you on a journey of discovery across the British Library to uncover a 6 feet tall atlas and a library built by a king! Collect from the Information Desk or download a copy.
