Young Adult Library Services Association

For over 50 years the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has been advocating for teen literature and training librarians to serve the needs of teen readers. A section of the American Library Association, YALSA administers the Michael L. Printz Award, recognizing distinguished contributions to YA literature, as well as the Best Fiction of Young Adult, Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers, and Great Graphic Novels for Teens lists, among others.

Adolescent Literature Action Network

The Adolescent Literature Action Network is a key resource for the evaluation of YA literature as well as advocacy for such work in classrooms. The annual workshop, held in conjunction with the NCTE conference, draws YA authors and literature enthusiasts from around the country.

Center for Children's Literature

The Center for Children’s Literature at Bank Street College provides programming, continuing education, and resources with the aim “to create, identify, and advocate for the highest quality literature for all children from infancy through adolescence.”

Nominees for the 2017 Anthony Award have been announced

The 2017 Anthony Award nominees have been announced, including the following Little, Brown and Company and Mulholland authors: YOU WILL KNOW ME by Megan Abbott (for Best Novel), RED RIGHT HAND by Chris Holm (for Best Novel), and IQ by Joe Ide (for Best First Novel).

The 2017 Bouchercon organizers announce the Anthony Award Nominations. The Anthony Awards are given at each annual Bouchercon World Mystery Convention with the winners selected by attendees.  The Anthony Award is named for the late Anthony Boucher (William Anthony Parker White), well-known writer and critic from the New York Times, who helped found the Mystery Writers of America. The winner in each category will be announced immediately following the Sunday Brunch on October 15 in Toronto.
