All Black Richie McCaw attended Lincoln University
Richie McCaw entered the University as an Excellence Scholar in 1999 to study for a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and was awarded a rugby sports scholarship soon after. The fourth generation of his family to enrol at Lincoln, he made his All Blacks debut in 2001. In recognition of his illustrious rugby career and contribution to sport, Lincoln University awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Natural Resources in 2012.
