A ticket is $38 dollars. We have a range of concession prices including $30 tickets for seniors, $28 tickets for community service card holders and $18 tickets for students with valid ID. Please contact our box office on 354 5740 for more information on concession rates.

How do I book and pay for tickets?
There are a number of ways to book - you can ring the box office on 354 5740; email us at centrepoint@centrepoint.co.nz, or book and pay securely using a credit card via this website by following the Book Now link from the homepage.
To secure your booking payment is required at least 48 hours prior to the performance booked for. We accept EFTPOS, all major credit cards, cheques and cash. You can pay in person at the box office, or over the phone using a credit card. We are also happy to arrange alternative payment options such as paying via internet banking - just talk to our friendly staff for more details.

Is there a booking fee?
Absolutely not! Whether you book over the phone, via the web, or in person at the box office, there are NO HIDDEN COSTS! We do not charge booking fees.

Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes we do! You can use a gift ticket for any show - just ring up and book yourself in like you normally would to ensure your seats.  Call the box office on 06 354 5740 for more details.

Do you still have a restaurant?
No, it's been many years since Centrepoint was Centrepoint Theatre and Restaurant. However, we do have full bar facilities, so you can enjoy a wine or two during the show and discuss the play over coffee afterwards.
We also have a dinner and show deal for only $68 a head, please enquire at the box office or click here for more information.

When is the box office open?
Generally the box office is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. When there is a production running, the office hours are extended: Wednesdays we're open until 6:00pm; Thursdays and Fridays until 7pm; Saturdays from 5pm until 7pm and Sundays from 3:30pm to 5pm.

What if I can't make the performance I paid for?
It is a condition of purchase that tickets are non-refundable. However, if you give us more than 24 hours notice that you cannot make the performance you have booked for, we are always happy to arrange a credit against your ticket purchase to allow you to attend another performance.

What if I'm late?
You may have to wait until the interval or a convenient break in the performance before you can enter. If you exit the auditorium during the performance you may have to wait until the interval or a convenient break before you can re-enter the auditorium.

Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, always. Please inform us of any relevant seating requirements when you book your tickets. We will make all necessary arrangements to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable evening.

Are seats allocated, or can I choose my seat on the night?
Yes! In 2014 Centrepoint is shifting to allocated seating, so when you book your seat you get a seat number that corresponds with a seat in the theatre. When you book online you can let the system choose seats for you or you can pick your own seats.

If you have particular seating requirements, please let us know when you make your booking, and we will find the best seats for you. We will do our best to accommodate all seating requirements and requests.

What should I wear?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in, whether it is a ball gown or jeans and a t-shirt!

Can I take photos of the performance?
No. Due to privacy and copyright issues you are not permitted to take photographs or video during a performance.

What is a Preview Night?
Preview Night is the final dress rehearsal of a production. Held the night before Opening Night, the Preview is the first public performance of the production. As it the final rehearsal, is sometimes the last chance to smooth out technical hitches and other minor glitches - and as such, the Preview Night is often an insight into what goes on behind the scenes! There are often tickets available for the Preview night performance for the special price of $20. Call the Box Office on 354 5740 for more information on Preview Night performances.

What is $20 Tuesday?
$20 Tuesday is a special performance held on the first Tuesday of each show. Maybe you're on a tight budget and theatre is a luxury you can't often justify splurging on, or maybe you're a comedy fan ready to take a risk and see a drama (or vice versa) - either way, $20 Tuesday is for you!

Bookings open for $20 Tuesday at 9am on the day before the performance. You can book over the phone or in person at the box office. We regret that because things get so busy, we cannot take bookings left prior to 9am on the answermachine or email.

For more information on $20 Tuesdays please contact the Box Office on 354 5740.

Why is there no performance the Sunday after Opening Night?
Opening Night marks the culmination of several weeks of intense rehearsals for the director and cast, so we give them the first Sunday off to recover!

I have a question that isn't answered here. What should I do?
Please don't hesitate to contact our friendly Box Office staff on (06) 354 5740, or by emailing us at centrepoint@centrepoint.co.nz.
