College Advisor

Each student is allocated a senior member of the College as a College Advisor.  This is in addition to the graduate student's Supervisor, appointed by the University, who is responsible for directing the academic work of the student.  Your College Advisor is available as a source of help and advice.  Sometimes this may concern academic matters in the broad sense, but may also be required in connection with financial or personal problems, in which case your advisor provides an additional avenue of approach to the College or University administration. Advisers see the termly Supervision reports, and so can discuss any matters arising from them.

You will meet your College Advisor at a Buffet Supper at the beginning of the Academic year.  Each term your College Advisor will invite you to an informal gathering such as a drinks reception or finger buffet.

You will receive a letter at the beginning of your course, informing you of your College Advisor and his/her contact details.  If you do not know who your College Advisor is, please contact the academic [dot] administrator [at] wolfson [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk (Academic Administrator.)

Please contact your College Advisor whenever you feel the need.

For students who would rather approach another student in times of need, there are also Student Welfare Officers at Wolfson.  The Senior Tutor is also always available.
