Starhawk beta confirmed

PS3 exclusive will support split screen play, but not PlayStation Move

LightBox Interactive president Dylan Jobe has confirmed there'll be a beta for PS3 shooter Starhawk.

He also revealed the game will support split screen play, but not PlayStation Move.

"There will be a beta but we just can't talk any specifics right now - stay tuned to the blog for more info," he wrote on the PS Blog forums. "... I assure you we are all excited to get people playing the game."

Announced last week, the game will feature the same third-person shooter experience from Warhawk in a variety of new set space settings.

Players will be able to create the battlefield on the fly using the game's 'Build & Battle' system, allowing them to call down offensive and defensive structures while in combat.

While Warhawk was a multiplayer-only experience, Starhawk will also feature a full single-player campaign which follows Emmett Graves and Cutter, a couple of miners fighting an enemy known as the Outcasts.

We went hands-on with the game last week. See what we thought in our Starhawk preview.

And you shall be in the uc3 beta on july 5th if you dont subscribe to ps plus , if you do subscribe uc3 beta starts for plus members on june 28th and all copies of inFamous 2 have a beta key , inFamous 2 is released june 10th so if you want in the beta from day 1 then you're guna have to stump up a little cash either way lol

I can not bloody wait... Seriously I might quit my job and become a full time bum again for this.

One problem though the blu ray has gone on my PS3 so I was thinking of going the CFW route to tide me over until I can afford a new one. Then again if this is a PSN title who needs s**tty blu ray and I can also play MAG.... I just don't know.
