Welcome to the new website for Sister Cities of Hampton, Inc. (SCH). Please visit our website often to learn about upcoming events or trips sponsored by our organization.
SCH is a tax-exempt corporation working in partnership with the City of Hampton to improve understanding and promote friendship between citizens and students of Hampton and the citizens and students of Hampton’s sister cities through exchanges, communications and personal interactions.
SCH is managed by an Executive Board which has a coordinating committee for each of our sister cities to plan trips and other activities. The primary goals of SCH are:
- To ensure that our schools and students have the opportunity to participate in the Sister Cities experience
- To provide opportunities for people who live, or work in Hampton to participate in the Sister Cities experience.
- To seek out committed partners such as local colleges and universities, businesses, civic organizations and private individuals.
Hampton has participated in Sister Cities since the 1950s. Hampton’s four sister cities are:
- Southampton, England
- Vendome, France
- Anyang, South Korea
- Pietermaritzburg, Msunduzi, South Africa
