DNG is currently in beta state.
DNG round 0 is based on Dolphin-Smalltalk 6.1 and the former LSWVST-virtual machine.
In January 2010 we started the development of a new VM called GVM . While the DNG round 0 VM was tuned to be 2-4 times faster than fast LSWVST-VM we used in the announcement of July 2008, the GVM will be available on 32 Bit & 64 Bit architectures & will be able to host different languages.
In February 2010 we have still some open issues with the current DNG-VM. But after the changes we have thought to be included in round-1 & are now present in the release VM it runs almost stable.
To participate in the forums you need to have signed our NDA & obtain a forum password.
DNG-Portal is a service for companies for porting their Applications to DNG.
On our forums we discuss DNG, VSE & Dolphin topics. The VSE Forum contains valuable answers to problem which arise if you develop with Visual-Smalltalk. For forum access you need to be registered. Topics & related post overview & statistics are only visible for registered users.
