Perhaps it's more the case that MS know more about the market than you do and probably know that they're never going to fully dominate Japan for sales? - that is, of course, assuming that they know more about the games industry than you do.

I do wonder why M$ bother, I tend to think the 360 is better off because of it's western roots, it certainly has more games of the type i like to play, but M$ should realise by now that Japan is a lost cause, our gaming tastes are just too different.
