Whale trainer called a 'light' to others

Dawn Brancheau was mourned today at a funeral at a Southwest Side church, where candles flickered to represent the "light" she gave to others. Brancheau was killed by an orca whale in Orlando's SeaWorld.

$1M bond for war vet charged with slaying wife

Joseph Jesk sobbed loudly during a bond hearing this morning after his arrest on charges that he murdered his wife Heather. Jesk had recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. His lawyer said the death was "a tragic accident."
