Wednesday 2-Jan-2008 11:12 AM "A small yet pleasant pack" Fireglow's recently released World War II RTS sequel Sudden Strike 3 is now the proud owner of new free content, hot from the developer's coding shop.
The new content consists of three maps collected in one pack, two of the maps being multiplayer while the third is a single-player mission. On top of that, the pack features "a patch with numerous improvements and bug fixes".
Here's the scoop on each map from Fireglow:
Tongs: This peculiar map contains a large island in the middle. It can be played by 2 up to 6 people. There are 5 bridges on the map and a lot of flags to fight for.
Elimination: This map features kill-em-all style on a flat map.
Untermehmen VII "C": This hardcore single mission features the old good Sudden Strike play. You have limited amount of reinforcements ... and the enemy has much more. You will like it.
In related news, Fireglow's already working on a first expansion for Sudden Strike 3 that focuses on the Ardennes Offensive. It's due out April, and confirmed so far are three new campaigns, new multiplayer maps, "the new option of playing for France" and a map editor.
