i, personally, love to straddle that fine line between “fandom blog” and “record of complete psychological breakdown”
Paintings of black women (cis-gender, trans, and gender fluid) in love, from Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States, and across 100 years in time. Because love is love. You can find them all as prints in my Etsy shop. Just click on the link here.
People always and forever are offended by the (true) notion that they make fandoms into Nazi bars by tolerating the bigots in their spaces just bc they happen to write fun fics or make good art or do cool edits or write meta you agree with. And then get mad at us for being like “well this stuff is racist and I do not want to associate with them or you for enabling it”
Someone can be racist as hell and, I dunno, write fiction about torturing Black women or only be able to analyze Black women in the context of white characters and even then do it poorly (huh I wonder what fandom I’m referring to), and the fandom consensus will somehow be that Black fans (but especially the women) are the ones ‘causing drama’ and should shut up about it and then wonder why people keep calling their fandom racist. It’s beyond parody
My wording here is very deliberate bc I’ve seen the very same people reblog famous Nazi bar posts and then be like “noooo this racist is actually central to fandom you’re wrong for not wanting them around you they’ve helped me through a hard time noooo” like grow a spine and find some consistency lmao you are not good allies like you purport to be
