I am Dina, a Palestinian mother from Gaza, living through an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe, trying only to protect my children and family amidst these dire conditions. We have lost everything because of the war, and life has become unbearable.

I carry no weapon, and I have harmed no one, but I am fighting to survive and to make my voice heard to the world. They fear our voices and are trying to silence us by any means possible.

Dina and her family used to live a relatively peaceful life in Gaza, and now they're living in a tent, facing the daily threat of Israeli bombs and bullets.

She lost her parents, four sisters and their children. No-one should ever have to go through that. Their lives and homes were destroyed. all they want is to escape the massacres and the destruction of their home.

it is blatantly clear Israel is committing genocide while pretending to wage a "war". Civilians like Dina are being deliberately targeted because Israel sees Palestinians even existing as a threat to its existence, and the world has sat by and watched for the last 76 years.

i feel horrified living in a country that supports Israel, the country that is killing her family.

i know people here share that horror and disgust, and hopefully you're willing to do something to help.

My family in Gaza is enduring a nightmare no one should ever have to face: genocide, freezing nights without shelter, hunger, and prices so high that survival itself feels like a constant fight.

This campaign is for 26 lives hanging by a thread including two orphaned children and a family member who, after being struck by shrapnel, now suffers from hemiplegia. hi im ty im a black trans person and im very sorry to do this but yesterday night a literal bat got into my apartment and was in contact with my two cats, unfortunately they were not up to date with rabies vaccination so i had to take them to a urgent vet care today to get them shots and checked out and the bill came up to $209 total

i’ve only been able to get about 20 hours a week at work so my biweekly paychecks are small and my portion of rent is $600 i dont get paid again until the 4th of next month so all of this money whether donations or purchases of clothing or art will go directly towards rent and bills because now i only have about two hundred left

I was checking on someone from Gaza and I asked them "how's the condition of the tent?" a question that really, really stung.

As Palestinians, whether or not we experienced living in tents and refugee camps first hand, tents have been a symbol of our initial displacement in 1948.

Finding myself asking this question to a Palestinian 76 years later really struck me.

Israel is a settler colonial entity, intent on disappearing Palestinians through massacres and displacement to make way for its expansionist project.

The fact that this is a question we are still having to ask is beyond heart-wrenching, but it also tells me that try as they might, we are rooted in this land and Israel's attempts have never deterred us.

Despite how painful this is, the least we can do is actually ensure that these tents are adequate enough to withstand upcoming winter conditions as it approaches.
