His breath got caught in his throat and he stood a bit straighter as if it would help him keep his composure. But was there any need for it? "I-" Saul wasn't sure what to say as he looked at his Queen, admiring her beauty and her willingness to have him stay. Had he been any more dutiful, he would have told her no. He would have simply turned around and left, staying true to his oath. But he was also just a man desperately in love with a woman he could not have.

he's almost horrified at the thought of losing Farah. With a low exhale, he rests his head against her shoulder, closing his eyes, reaching into the blood tie between them. it was how he'd known she wasn't DEAD. he would've FELT her die. a snap in his mind, the pain that came with a shattering of a bond.
Farah wraps her arms around Maurice, holding him close and resting her head atop his own. She feels him dipping into the blood tie between them. It isn't something she exactly understands, but she is glad for it as it didn't allow for him to give up on her. "Thank you for not leaving."
