Last Friday and Saturday, employees from our G&H | ITL facility — Amanda Beasley (Production Coordinator), Laura Beasley (Marketing Coordinator), Toni Newman (NPI & Production Engineering Manager), and Tristan Lambert (Production Manager) — kindly volunteered their time at The Big Cat Sanctuary 2025 Open Days. The Big Cat Sanctuary is a globally recognized centre dedicated to the conservation and rescue of wild cats. The initiatives undertaken by the team at the Sanctuary are vital in saving some of the planet’s most endangered and iconic species from extinction. Our team supported the event by selling raffle tickets, giving guided tours of the overnight lodges, and assisting on the education booth. Thank you to Amanda, Laura, Toni, and Tristan for giving back to such an important cause. G&H’s high-speed Acousto-Optic Deflectors (AODFs) deliver precise, programmable laser beam control with exceptional resolution and microsecond response times. Operating above 250 MHz, they support hundreds to thousands of resolvable spots for fast and accurate beam steering in demanding environments. These devices support wavelength ranges from 266 nm to 10.6 µm and scan angles from approximately 5 to over 60 milliradians. They maintain uniform diffraction efficiency across the aperture and are available with aperture sizes up to 15 mm. Constructed from advanced materials such as TeO₂, Germanium, Sapphire, and Crystal Quartz, they are well-suited for a wide range of optical system requirements. G&H offers both standard and custom AODF configurations, including multi-channel and 2D scanning setups using cascaded deflectors.
