We're proud to have been named SME of the Year at the British Data Awards
But we want to say something about what that means to us - because it's not really about us.
It's about the problem we exist to solve.
Most organisations are sitting on data that could transform how they operate. Not because they lack technology. Not because they lack talent. But because no-one has ever told them the value their data creates - and without that, it's impossible to know where to invest, what to fix, or what's genuinely at risk.
That's the hard problem Anmut was built to solve. And as a small, specialist team, we get to work on it with some of the most important and complex organisations in the world.
At National Highways, we found that data accounts for £68.6bn of value created for the stakeholders who depend on England's strategic road network. That insight changed how the board viewed data investment - and we continue to help the organisation develop the tools and processes to manage data as an asset.
Working for a UK utility, we identified that £53m of a £149m regulatory exposure was directly attributable to data quality - not hardware, but whether the data those sensors produce can be trusted.
For an Australian utility, we demonstrated, a AUD 1.8m investment in meter data quality could unlock more than AUD 20m in value - and potentially defer billions in premature capital expenditure.
The intelligence we create changes how boards think about data, how capital gets allocated, how risk is managed, what opportunities are pursued, and how resilience is hard wired.
And this is only going to matter more. As AI moves from pilot to enterprise scale, the organisations that can't say what their data is worth - or whether it can be trusted - will struggle to realise any of the promise.
This award belongs to the Anmut team, and to every client who trusted us to do this work alongside them.
There's a lot more to do. We're just getting started.
