I'm honestly obsessed with the headcanons of poolverine shippers about other Wolverine variants finding out about Worst Wolvie dating/being engaged/being married to Wade Wilson aka the MOTHERFUCKING DEADPOOL aka the most annoying and insufferable piece of shit they have ever known and met in their own respective universes (though some variants might have not met or known their own Deadpool but probably know enough of other Deadpools to hate the dude). I love how they either find out because Worstie's Deadpool visited their universes and teamed up with them OR there's a sort of meet up between various Wolverine variants and Worst Wolvie is just there being all chill with the fact he's dating Wade or being all flustered with the fact he's dating Wade. Eitherway, their reactions at first are a mix of bewilderment, confusion, disappointment, some anger and shock, maybe a bit of disgust, maybe some are chill and over all just kinda poking fun of Worstie's choice of partner. Despite this, Worstie will always have Wade's back just as much as Wade has his. However, overtime as the other variants see how much Wade genuinely loves and cares for his Wolvie, how much Wolvie reciprocates that same love in return and how they are both genuinely happy and content with the other for being the only person to truly understand them, the other Wolverine variants start yearning and wanting (some are even a tad bit jealous) for what Wade and Worst Wolverine have. There's an ache in their hearts wishing to have someone similar to Worstie's Deadpool who truly understands them, takes them home and loves them whole, flaws and all. Some variants who have met Worstie's Wade might have have found themselves falling for the Merc and dread the fact that they could never have Wade because he already belongs to someone else who happens to be quite territorial and tad bit possessive to his beloved partner. I love how the headcanon would end with the other Wolverine variants trying to find and meet up with their own Wade Wilson in hopes of forming a life long bond with their respective Deadpools as Worst Wolverine and his Wade find their way back to each other's arms, being all lovey dovey and shit in their own ways.
Trigger Warning: Angst, so so much angst, death and depictions of grief
I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but in all the months I have been in the poolverine fandom, I haven't seen anyone (as far as I'm aware) entertain or acknowledge the possibility or implications of Logan being the one to bury all of the X-men and the rest of the mutants that got killed in the X-Mansion when he found them after coming back drunk from a bar. Like imagine the angst and whump potential of it all, the shock he first felt when he noticed the signs of a break in, then the horror as he sees the bodies, the grief, sorrow and pain crashing down on him as he sees that no mutant survived and everyone in the mansion is dead, his guilt as he realized how he could have been there to protect them and how he blames himself for not being there, for abandoning the people he had grown to care for because he could never allow himself to be part of anything. Imagine the heaviness in his chest as he realizes the only thing he can do for them now is to bury them, each and every single one of them. Imagine how much time he spent in the mansion grounds, digging a grave for each mutant and carrying their lifeless bodies to their final resting place, how he holds their body in his arms, trying to tell himself that they're just asleep yet his sensitive hearing picks up no heartbeat. This is possibly the only time he has ever held any of them close in his arms. They're gone and dead, because of him. He tells himself he's used to it by now, he SHOULD be used to it by now, being the one to bury those he loves. But with every body buried, every graved marked, he doubts that idea. Sometimes, there's not even a body for him to bury or a body whose name he could mark. He grieves that he hadn't been able to know the rest of them well. He finishes by nightfall, X-Mansion now turned into a cemetery, a grim reminder of Logan's failure. The physical embodiment of his title as the Worst Wolverine in the entire multiverse. He tries to deliver them justice, avenging them by hunting and killing those who killed them, he lets his rage and violence win over his grief and starts mercilessly killing, turning humanity even more against mutant kind. Yet, his rage does not linger forever. Eventually, he comes back to the mansion with nothing but a graveyard to welcome him. All his anger have left, his only solace is at the bottom of a bottle. Every night, he stays in the mansion grounds to feel taste of whiskey burning down his throat. Every night, he regrets on what he has lost. Eventually, he leaves and moves from place to place, bar to bar, trying to forget. He can't and he never will. It eats him up inside no matter how many glasses he has downed.
Now, he is with Wade, his pain and loss still lingering but being with his current little family is enough to lessen the hurt. Still, he fears he'll have to bury them too. Yet, he lets his fears be dampened by mouthful merc who took his heart, he assures himself he'll never abandon his family again, that he'll be there. He lets his love foster and his fondness grow. Perhaps, he thinks, one day he would have to bury them, but at least they'll have the knowledge the he'll bury them after loving them enough. Perhaps, he thinks, one day, someone would love him enough to bury him, too.
Look, I just think this concept should be more explored in the fan works. If there are works that did, please send me a link! I would love to read them.
Everyone always thinks Logan would repress his feelings for Wade, that he would deny them to himself and anybody that implied he liked Wade as anything more than a friend, but honestly? I think that would be Wade.
Logan has never really been one to hide his emotions. He doesn't hide his attraction or affection for people. Jean is a great example. Logan knows that she and Scott are together, but he doesn't hide that he loves her. He makes it known.
Why wouldn't he with Wade? He doesn't have any competition, and finally he has a place to call home, so why would he hide his feelings? Wade flirts with him and makes jokes about being it's wife, so why would he feel the need to hide it?
Wade though? Wade is insecure, anxious and let's be real- a complete mess. He doubts peoples feelings towards him, friends or otherwise, and he pushes people away when they get too close. When he starts to realise that he loves them.
Logan has to try and break that barrier. He assumes Wade is worried about being hurt again by someone he loves, when in reality, Wade is worried about hurting Logan.
Wade knows Logan wouldn't hurt him- not unless they were fighting together in the way they both loved. He knows Logan isn't going to leave and that he loves him. Wade hates that he knows that, because Wade doesn't trust himself enough to not ruin that. To not ruin Logan.
Wade has been treated so poorly in the past- basically being blamed for everything bad that's happened to or around him- and he's begun to believe the things he's been told, the things people say about him.
Vanessa had broken up with him because he didn't prove himself worthy. He wasn't enough- so how is he meant to be enough for Logan?
Logan is confident in his feelings, Wade isn't and he never has been.
Little Poolverine headcanon that shortly after they started dating, Wade starts noticing that Logan has two alarms, one at 5:30 am and another at 6:00 am. Since Wade knows Logan usually gets up at 6 to start his day, do some chores and prepare for construction work, he wonders what the 5:30 alarm is for. He brings it up to Logan at times, who inevitably brushes it off and eventually Wade thinks nothing of it. Turns out, Logan has an alarm 30 mins before his waking time just so he can have 30 mins morning cuddle time with Wade. Often times, Wade is still sound asleep at this hour so he's not exactly aware that THE WOLVERINE wakes up 30 mins or early before 6 am just so he can show his unbridled affection to his amazing boyfriend (and soon-to-be-husband). Logan would wrap his arms tighter around Wade, kiss him on his forehead or his face or his shoulder or basically anywhere he can reach. He'd rub his face on him, maybe inhaling more of Wade's scent, all the while purring softly as he gazes at the other man lovingly, like he can't believe he's able to live this life all because of Wade motherfucking Wilson. Wade only finds out because he woke up early and pretended to be asleep to see what Logan was up to during those times. That's all, thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Butch Wolverine or just Worst Wolverine in general wearing Catra's Season 5 Outfit with the boob window and everything.
"4 times Wade tried to hug peanut and one time Wolvie really need that hug."
Ficlet that I commissioned @akatsuki-shin for this series can be read here: >>> https://archiveofourown.org/works/59547316
You ever think Logan would be like those cats trying to get pets and cuddles from their owners by tapping their arm softly with their paws, pupils wide and purring? Like I'd imagine Logan, touch-starved and desperate for physical contact but doesn't want to admit it, just taps Wade's hand trying to ask for cuddles or wanting Wade to play with his hair. Wade doesn't get it at first but after some begrudging hints from Logan, he eventually realizes what's going on and he just...melts and obliges to Logan's request. They either lay on the couch or on the bed as Wade pets Logan's hair and traces patterns on his back or whatever part of Logan he can reach, arms around the man whilst Logan presses his face on Wade's chest trying to hide his pleased and blushing face and stifle his purrs. It does not work though and Wade teases that the Wolverine is just cute little spicy kitty. Logan just grunts and growls at him but is too content and relaxed to do anything about it, wrapping his arms tighter around Wade. He does not defeat the spicy kitty allegations.
Thinking of a Billford animatic with the song "The Ultimate Deception" from the movie Journey to Bethlehem cause it honestly fits them. Just look at the lyrics:
"Something 'bout this girl makes me believe her,
Even when the world wants me to leave her.
It's out of my control, I can't let her go now.
Something 'bout this girl, says she's a liar,
She brought this on herself with her desires.
Your family will be stained, gotta walk away now.
Don't make concessions for her transgressions,
She's made a mess, a fool of you.
I don't see deception in her confession,
I just see the truth.
~~~~~
Don't make concessions for her transgression,
She's made a mess, a fool of you.
I don't see deception in her confession,
I just see the truth.
I'm completely torn in two.
Half of me believes her,
While the other half needs proof....
This was no immaculate conception.
Only just the ultimate deception.
Guilty to the bone, we should have her stoned now!
(Wait!)
Don't you throw your stones!
No, don't you judge her!
I look into her eyes and think I love her!
Innocent and pure,
How can you be sure now? (ultimate deception)
No, you've gotta let her go!
Why can't someone show me how? (ultimate deception)
Oh, the only thing I know,
Is I just want to go.... to her now"
Like reading the lyrics, I can totally see Ford fighting with himself after he finds out Bill betrayed him, where one part of him is angry at Bill but the other still loves him, trying to make excuses for him. Its classic toxic old man yaoi fr fr.
BUTCH WOLVERINE BUTCH WOLVERINE BUTCH WOLVERINE BUTCH WOL-
Ya'll ever think how funny it would be if Worst Wolverine and Butch Wolverine are the only ones in the entire multiverse of Wolverines to date a Deadpool?
