Big relief but as a team we talk about the process. It's not about getting too high when you win and not about getting too low when you lose. As a team, we can't focus on uncontrollables, my mentor said focus on controllables and that is what I did. Good to see the way Prince bowled and also Thakur was really good. (On Pooran) You got to give someone the charge when he is batting well and batted brilliantly for us. The group is coming up nicely, we haven't played our best so far but happy to get a win.

(on the Orange cap) It's a bit big but it feels good. I don't plan to hit sixes, try my best to get into good positions and try to time the ball. When the matchup is there, you try to execute your skills. The wicket was beautiful. Looking at the games before, every time you come to Hyderabad, it's big scores here. Was a good toss to win, if you don't lose wickets in the powerplay, you can go hard. I have never worked on my bat-speed, just blessed with incredible talent. It's a really long tournament and nice to see Marshy, showed his class. The left-right combination is important, knock it around and continue to build a partnership and take our matchup down.

Nicholas Pooran - LSG

It was a different wicket the other day, but we had to score quickly. They batted really well though. Still a very good wicket, that was the best wicket in the world, this was the second-best wicket. It gripped a little bit, but it was a nice wicket. Every time it's a fresh game, they bowled really well, it was very well planned. It was a pretty good effort to get to 190. You always need one person to bat throughout the innings, like Ishan (Kishan) did the other day, but they bowled really well, never let us off the hook. We got 8 batters, it's about going out there and making an impact. You see things you could have done better, that could have been the difference. It's a long competition, we will get a chance pretty quickly, so we need to move on.

Shardul Thakur continued his sensational comeback with a four-wicket haul, helping Lucknow Super Giants restrict a formidable Sunrisers Hyderabad to 190 for nine in their IPL clash on Thursday. Opting to bowl first, Shardul (4/34) provided LSG with an explosive start, dismissing Abhishek Sharma and last-match centurion Ishan Kishan off consecutive deliveries in the third over.

He removed Sharma with a short-pitched delivery before sending Kishan back with an innocuous ball down the leg side, caught behind.

Travis Head (47 off 28) looked dangerous, counterattacking with boundaries and sixes. He took full advantage of Avesh Khan’s erratic bowling, smashing two sixes and a four in a single over.

However, Head was fortunate to get two reprieves. He skied Ravi Bishnoi’s first ball, but Nicholas Pooran at long-on dropped a straightforward catch. Capitalizing on the lifeline, Head launched Bishnoi for a maximum over covers. Bishnoi had another opportunity in the sixth over but failed to hold on to a tough return catch.

Head’s luck eventually ran out when debutant Prince Yadav rattled his stumps, claiming his first IPL wicket.

Heinrich Klaasen (26 off 17) showed promise but was dismissed in an unlucky fashion—run out by Yadav off his own bowling when Nitish Reddy’s straight drive ricocheted onto the stumps.
