The much-anticipated pan-Indian film starring
Shane Nigam and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj is set to hit theaters on August 29 as an Onam release.
Produced on a grand scale, the film features prominent actors from Tamil and Telugu industries. The release date was officially announced by producer Santosh T. Kuruvilla through his Facebook page.
The film is jointly produced by Santosh T. Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George under the banner of STK Frames. A recent behind-the-scenes photo of Shane Nigam holding his pet cat "Tiger" with the film’s team has gone viral on social media. The project coordinator for the Shane Nigam starrer is Benny.
While the film’s title has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be a high-budget sports-action entertainer centered around kabaddi.
Malayalam cinema has previously seen successful films based on sports like boxing, and this film marks a significant step in bringing kabaddi to the forefront on a pan-Indian level.
Debut Director Unni Sivalingam’s Big Project
Santosh T. Kuruvilla, known for introducing fresh talent to Malayalam cinema, has entrusted the directorial responsibilities to debutant Unni Sivalingam from Palakkad. The director has also penned the story and screenplay. He previously worked as an assistant director for Thankam, produced by Bhavana Studios.
The film’s leading lady is Preethi Asrani. This marks the 14th project from STK Frames, Santosh T. Kuruvilla’s sixth film with a debut director, and Shane Nigam’s 25th film.

An Impressive Technical Team
The film boasts a stellar technical crew, with Shivakumar Panicker, known for his work in Kill, Uri, and Article 367, handling the editing. Alex J Pulickal is the cinematographer, while Sandeep Narayanan serves as the executive producer. The lyrics for the film are penned by Vinayak Sasikumar, and Ashiq S takes charge of production design. Jithesh Poyya is responsible for makeup, and Melvy designs the costumes. Action choreography is helmed by Master Santosh and Vicky Nandagopal. Kishore Purakkattiri oversees production control, with Sreelal as the chief associate director. Sound design is handled by Nithin Lukose, while Jobish Antony serves as the finance controller. Manju Gopinath is the film’s PRO, and the stills are captured by Shalu Peyad and Subhash. The film’s designs are created by Viyakki.
A Story Focused on Kabaddi Players
The film revolves around the journey of four young kabaddi players. Shot in Malayalam and Tamil, the film’s major locations include Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Pollachi. The project is expected to showcase Shane Nigam in an entirely new mass-action avatar. Adding to the excitement, a renowned music director is set to make his Malayalam debut with this film.
