I am in LOVE with affinity designer as an Adobe Illustrator dupe because they are straight crazy if they think I’m paying that lmao. It was $18.99 for ipad and honestly the amount of control they offer for lineart is INSANE <3 I’m so excited to continue to learn more about it :)

I’m remaking a very old zine I did in 2018, a Violence of our Own, that’s a coloring book style centered on the subject of how most of western art history has involved the dehumanization of femme nude models through literal idealization (turning a person into a concept, e.g. an allegory for spring or vanity etc etc) by flipping the narrative onto visually masc nudes and inviting the audience to participate by drawing in props and backgrounds to create their own ideals out of the subjects. It’s very bitey but I think it still holds water as an interesting subject to explore/discuss.
