Preorder Dates + WooCommerce… Davi Souto has released the Bitnary Preorder Dates for WooCommerce plugin, now available in the repository. It adds pre-orders with two separate dates: a cutoff, when the store stops taking orders, and a release date, when the product ships. It works per product or per variation, with the block checkout, and pre-order turns itself off after the release date.
Webin Plugins + WooCommerce… Juhan Lee from Webin Studio shared about releasing two new plugins for WooCommerce users. Webin Preorder Workspace keeps the pre-order conditions shown at purchase with the order, and provides release scheduling, customer messages, and reviewed payment/refund workflows. Webin Vendor Workspace covers vendor applications, product-change review, commissions/refund ledgers, and reviewed payout workflows.
VariaPilot + Variation Manager… David Bore shared the new VariaPilot for WooCommerce, a new free plugin now available on WordPress Org repository. It lets WooCommerce store managers create, edit, disable, or delete product variations in bulk across multiple variable products without opening each product individually.
New Plugins: TrazoForms, CalendarDrop, SmartTranslate
TrazoForms + Form Builder… Andy Araya from Two Digits Studio (Costa Rica) has launched TrazoForms, a form builder for WordPress. The free version includes eleven color palettes with automatic dark mode (checked against WCAG contrast), 19 field types, conditional logic, and two editable email notifications. The public form works without JavaScript. There is a Pro plan for multi-page forms and save-and-continue.
CalendarDrop + Event in Flyers… Josh Penner has created CalendarDrop plugin for WordPress publishers who receive event details in flyers and PDFs and then have to enter them into a calendar. The free plugin uses AI to turn uploaded flyers, PDFs, and Word document text into drafts for an editor to check. With The Events Calendar active, it creates native event drafts; otherwise it creates ordinary WordPress draft posts.
Translation Assistant + WPML… Samira Chemlali brought to notice the SmartTranslate AI plugin, a translation assistant with OpenAI and WPML, in the repository. It provides manual and bulk post translation for sites using WPML and their own OpenAI API key. It supports translated drafts for review, supported Yoast SEO and Rank Math metadata, and token usage and estimated API cost reporting.

- WordCamp Rajasthan 2026… last week I was away attending WordCamp Rajasthan 2026, in Jaipur, India (that is why this WPWeekly issue is coming one day later). It was an amazing event with insightful interactions, interesting people, and useful sessions (specially on AI in WordPress space). - More Plugins This Year… Jean Galea shared (LinkedIn) that WordPress has listed more new plugins this year than in 2024 and 2025 combined. “14,608 since January, with a quarter of the year still to go. Eight in ten have fewer than ten active installs. That’s more than five times as many new plugins a month as a year ago, from 10,532 different authors, so it isn’t one spam farm”.
- PHP 8.1+ for WooCommerce… WooCommerce 11.6v is being planned for February 2027, and will require PHP 8.1 or newer. “To give affected stores time to prepare, WooCommerce 11.3 will add a dismissible admin notice for stores running PHP 7.4 or 8.0. The notice warns about the future requirement, but WooCommerce 11.3 continues to work on those PHP versions”.
- Gutenberg + Design Tools… 24.1v update brings more design tools in Accordion, Tabs, Comments, Post blocks – for background and colors. Also, expanded text shadow support, media selection in the block inspector panel, start page patterns, and more.

Pie Calendar + Recurrence Rules… 1.5.0v introduces new advanced recurrence rule settings, which allow you to designate which weekdays an event should recur on if its frequency is set to weekly. It also allows you to create multiple event recurrences per week, all on separate days, from one parent post.
CraftForms + New Integrations… 2.0v updated added native actions for four email-marketing tools: Mailchimp, Brevo, FluentCRM, and MailPoet. Also, every submit action now has a Run only if setting at the bottom. Choose a choice field (dropdown, radio, checkboxes or colour picker) and the value it needs.
WP Simple Pay + Transactions page… 4.17.4v update brings a new Transactions page under Payment Forms which lists every one-time payment your site has taken, newest first, with the date, the customer, which form they used, the amount, and the status. Also, collecting files with payments is easy with the new File Upload field in the form builder.
Gato AI Translations… 19.3v of Gato AI Translations for Polylang is about paying for a translation only once. Every translation the plugin produces is now stored in a translation memory and reused, a long post is split into paragraphs so that editing one paragraph sends one paragraph to the AI service, and a post can be translated again automatically whenever you update it.

Insights: WooCommerce Store Defect Study 2026
The team at NorthDuty checked 100 live WooCommerce stores featured in agency portfolios using public, read-only checks. The study found, five had a reproducible public Store API or TLS defect. A second, browser-based check found ten additional stores with a dead menu, footer, cart, or product link.
The figures apply only to this purpose sample, and no orders were placed.
