This is a real story that happened to us. In January, a UN delegation came to our street. They didn’t help us. They have a few families on a list and they ignore everyone else. They ate fruits and snacks and drank mineral whatever in front of starving people who only have contaminated water to drink. People tried to talk to them, to tell them their stories, to ask for help, but they were dismissed.
This is why we have to rely on this campaign. No organization has ever helped my family. We only have ourselves and kind strangers who give us money. Please don’t let us down now. The war is back. Prices have skyrocketed. My soul and my hope are dying.
We’re so close to the final goal! Please, I want to be done with this so I can focus on my new semester without additional stress. I don’t know what I’ll do after, but for now, I want it to be done. I’m exhausted.
i can’t help but notice that every slightly popular ml communist blog on here has the same aesthetics and general attitude as your average 2012 “sorry to trigger you” anti-sjw tumblr blog upto generally being more focused on “triggering the libs/tenderqueers/whatever” than like. any actual activism and i dunno it doesn’t feel far off from what ever shoeonhead was doing

it is frustrating how often i’ll see people on here discussing how fucked up it is that liberals treat people who live in the south/red states as “disposable” and “deserving to suffer” and “they should of voted more” when most people living in red states have very little control over their government and many of the people living the south who suffer the most are queer and brown people, which is all true, but than for some reason don’t apply this same logic to like. the united states in general which i dunno doesn’t seem very consistent to me!
like i dunno it’s weird to dunk on liberals for not having compassion for disabled brown trans people who are living in southern states, and than go “anyway i hope every usamerican yankee suffers and dies” like what happened to the brown people you pretended to care about????

the most annoying thing about a certain subsect of tumblr’s reaction the tariffs, is the assumption that the people most likely to suffer from the tarriffs are “privileged white yuppie amerikkans” and not like. poor black and brown people that were already struggling, like sorry to be mean but you guys aren’t that meaningfully different from liberals who celebrate whenever a natural disaster hits the south.

as someone who is both native american and mexican and has a brother who’s black and has suffered multiple microaggressions due to my race it’s extremely frustrating to see tumblr users act like “all americans are the same, because like yes as a member of the imperial core i definitely has alot of privileges, but at same time it’s bizarre for people on here to act like being brown in america is a walk in the park and not like. a tightrope that if you fall of it you die.
i don’t think "gringo” is a slur but i can’t help both notice that online it seems to exclusively used against brown and black americans and noone else, and i dunno that seems very weird to me personally, almost as if everyone seems to view brown and black americans as like. failures for being colonized or whatever
