I wanted to share what I’ve been up to over the years. In 2022, I decided to step away from soundtrack work to start a label called Infloresce Records. This project has meant a lot to me because it’s given me the freedom to make the gentle yet enthralling kind of music that I love.
My label has released 15 albums since then, and now we’ve launched a Patreon. If you like the music I make, please consider checking it out and supporting us there!
coming out tomorrow may 9th alongside the game! wishlist on steam or gog or egs

hi friends! my moody soundtrack for the game “cryptmaster” is releasing alongside the game on may 9th! i drew inspiration from my childhood years playing AD&D in the basement of a game shop, while giallo horror movies played on a CRT in the background.
i’m extremely excited for how both the game and the soundtrack came out, it was super fun and i had a blast working together with stemage on guitar and catton arthur on bass. thank you so much for your support!
They are already selling data to midjourney, and it’s very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.
here’s some instructions for anyone who doesn’t know how to opt out:
login in on desktop, it’s not available on mobile yet
click “Account”
click on your blog
go to “Blog Settings”
go to “Visibility”
Scroll down to the bottom option
turn the toggle ON, not off
you will have to do this individually for each sideblog you have too, no way to do it for each account in one go
Remember kids! If you don’t want us to steal your work, all you have to do is opt-in to opting-out of being stolen from! It’s easy!
Reposting a Twitter thread I just made because it’s got a lot of thoughts I’ve had stuck in my head lately:
I don’t have a fully-formed version of these thoughts, but I think what a lot of artist are asking when they say “where will we go after twitter” is actually asking “where are all of the normal people going to end up?” I can name a half-dozen sites that are ready and waiting for more artists to come flooding onto their platform. I’m sure there are just as many for writers, musicians, filmmakers, everything else. The actual question everyone needs an answer to is where is the AUDIENCE going.
An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don’t have any more info. They probably won’t have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:
I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.
Tumblr’s CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and ‘AI’ companies.
A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data… tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)
So I don’t have any extra info yet, but I’m keeping my ears open.
And I just got confirmation from a second ex-colleague that a deal with midjourney has been brewing since months ago. Not any extra details, just that’s a real thing.
Shit, I don’t see any way for this to happen that doesn’t make it an apocalyptic event the size of the porn ban. Fuck.
I attended the wonderful charity stream for aivi & surasshu’s first anniversary of their label Infloresce, benefiting Chattanooga Trans Liberation Collective. It was a lovely time and included many special guest appearances, including (of special interest to some of my blog readers) Rebecca Sugar and Jeff Ball of Steven Universe fame and aivi & surasshu themselves. Here is an overall outline of the content of the TWELVE HOURS of streaming, including details about all of the performances! And if you’re interested in further supporting the Chattanooga Trans Liberation Collective, you can choose your donate option here.
Now that there is a video on demand to watch, I will share with you all the time codes for various parts. It’s twelve hours long so it’s really hard to find your favorite parts without a playlist! Someone else probably has a more high-tech way of compiling this but here’s my manual compilation (hope all the links work).
many of you probably already know that i did music for hbomberguy (it premiered on this video that apparently the entire internet saw), including this end credits theme–i’m currently in the process of getting it on streaming, but here it is on bandcamp for now!
it’s now also available on any and all streaming platforms! thank you to everybody who shared this or said nice things about it, i really appreciate it <3
