Soul Reaver 2 very obviously is incomplete, there were so many things planned for that game that never made it in. There were going to be way more Reaver elements, enemies that could survive being dismembered, the game wasn't going to end where it did, more areas to explore, optional power ups like in Soul Reaver... it just goes on and on.
Unfortunately, it was a recurring problem with these games that they were unfinished. All games have to have things cut from them, but it's very obvious in the case of Soul Reaver 2. If you want to learn more, I'd suggest going to https://www.thelostworlds.net/

They still need to make a blood omen collection. Bo2 I thought was a lot better than SR2. Not better than SR1 but least BO2 felt like a long and challenging game. SR2 was disappointing, it had great graphics and a lot of potential. But I beat the game in 3 hours barely trying and you don't even fight monsters most of the time. Just annoying dudes with spears poking you.
I really agree. Blood Omen 2 has it's problems, but at least it was fun and expanded the setting, while Soul Reaver 2 made the setting feel smaller in the end. The writing is far superior in Soul Reaver 2, and it had great puzzles with the forges, but it was so clearly rushed.
Soul Reaver 2 has its story to lean on. Which is one of if not the best writing in the series. Even if the gameplay is just eh.
Blood Omen 2 is a bad story, with bad writing, and bad gameplay. To the point Defiance had to spend time trying to have it make any sense.
But Blood Omen 2 is a blocking simulator where you just wait a ton.
Gameplay wasn’t ever the series strongest point, but it crosses that line too much here
Not really. Vukotlak is basically right about Raziel.
i will definatly one day replay the games as i loved em. The story was very interesting and executed very well. Also the german voice actors have been absolute dope.
