omg thank u for all the love!! to the wonderful ppl asking abt the lore, we will have a summer wedding but firstly the really short version is:

all these guys exist in the pseudo-late-19th-century city of Morrefell, a terrible city that (metaphorically) wants to eat you <3
the 5 characters with weird-colour eyes and hands are Weavers, people who randomly develop the ability manipulate a given element or force (they’re very rare and theres probably less than 50 alive in the entire world)

i’ll put some very short bios for everyone under the cut!!

(Lord Timeweaver) Aithen - a Timeweaver, able to manipulate the passage of time generally and on objects, and so much of a hedonistic asshole that he manages to simultaneously be the protagonist and antagonist of his story lmao.

(Ambassador) Jinar Kou - a foreign ambassador and the only other Timeweaver, gets trapped in the same timeloop as Aithen and despite his better judgement, falls in love with him lol

(Lady Bloodweaver) Emilette Carine - a Bloodweaver apprenticed to the royal physician. like Aithen, she was made a ward to the royal family as both a tool and a symbol of their power.

Thulille Adair - an orphan who was forced into the Thieves Guild and has been seeking vengeance against the Guild’s barons ever since she managed to leave it, with no care for the cost

Eirta - another orphan who was in the Thieves Guild with Thulille but left to seek a semi-normal life. does not approve of her closest friend’s near-suicidal vengeance plan

Tsabé, the Red Wolf’s Pup - was taken in and trained to be the perfect assassin by the Red Wolf after she stabbed him in the leg with some scissors age 5 (he’d been having a 40yo life crisis).

Garrett Wintersbane, the Red Wolf - the world’s most feared/renowned assassin and the master of the Assassin’s Guild (making him the wielder of the Bloodglass Sword). Most famous for killing an emperor and his four Weaver bodyguards in one day.

Madame Kalyani - a Plantweaver who was kidnapped from her homeland, but fought tooth and nail to gain power and freedom in the city she was taken to – eventually becoming a member of Morrefell’s Underworld Council, alongside (her toxic situationship) the Red Wolf.

Kyraan of Nowhere - formerly Prince Kyraan of Thawgrasp, ran from his homeland shortly after his Boneweaver abilities manifested, to avoid being found out and killed by his very anti-Weaver culture/countrymen.
