Do you know the theory that Venti was the god of death or somehow related to it?
Right, that, I like it but I don’t think it’s true.
There’s a lot of theories, however to have Venti as the god of death- presumably a very important role- and only an Archon doesn’t make much sense. If I were Celestia I would have the mega important people in my direct line of sight, especially if I fell asleep for a long time.
I’m not sure how I came to this conclusion, but I feel that Celestia and those that live on it don’t exactly like The Archons. I think this is because of just choosing one person originally for the Anemo Gnosis both Decarabian and Andrius had to basically duke it out for the Gnosis, which later got given to Venti.
Anyways, if Venti was the god of death then I feel there’d be more connections between other than death being considered a freedom.
I like the idea that Venti has some form of a connection to death, it makes sense, his friend died, all anemo vision holders have a dead friend(minus Jean), death can be considered a type of freedom.
This entire theory hardly has any actual evidence behind it, this is just for fun, BUT! I think Venti is a Psychopomp.
A psychopomp are the- more often than not winged- beings who guide souls to the afterlife, some examples would be the grim reaper(literature), the Valkyrie’s(Norse), Anubis (Egyptian), Hermes (Greek), Ankou (Ireland), Azrael (Jewish/christian), Shinigami’s (Japanese), and probably a whole lot more.
Venti being a psychopomp actually makes more sense, both from the earlier listed connections to death as well as the fact he was wings (Valkyrie’s have those as well), it’s said in canon that the wind is what gathers the souls of the children of Mondstadt and takes them to whatever is believed to be the after life, and Venti himself is what takes Stanley’s soul, that one guys dead friend in the Venti quest.
This is all honestly kind of loosely strung together like red string on a bulletin board, and if I actually took the time to find stuff related to Venti to back up this theory I would, but hopefully whoever sees this gets my point.
Anyways.
