I’m Silvermoon424 (but you can call me Katy!) and I do a lot of work in the realm of fandom archival, scanning, scanlating, etc. I also write analysis posts for my fandoms. I’ve had this blog since 2011, so there’s a lot of content to dig through. I thought I’d finally make a post to make the backlog easier to navigate!
This post is a work in progress and I will be updating it as I remember things I should add.
I wonder, in the manga, Princess Serenity's hair was white so when Usagi first awakened as the Moon Princess, did her blonde hair turn white as well as grow? That part wasn't commented on, but Minako did say her body underwent a change

In Crystal her hair stays blond, but tbf Princess Serenity is also portrayed as a blonde there. I love the idea of Usagi’s hair turning white and growing insanely long after she remembers her past life!
do you happen to remember that tumblr with the url sailor-moon-encyclopedia or something? it had gifs for different eps, powerups, characters, etc. and lots of info on stuff. i think it was deactivated but i was wondering if you knew what i was talking about and know if it's still around or if there's a similar tumblr out there still

Yes, I remember! I was able to find some of their old posts on my blog. The name was princess-halation, but I do remember it initially being something like sailor-moon-encyclopedia.
I was able to find a similar blog called @sailormoonpedia (they might even be run by the same person), but it’s unfortunately been inactive since 2018. Still an amazing resource though!
Does anyone else keep getting logged out on Tumblr desktop?
I usually go months without having to log in on desktop, but in the past week I’ve been kicked out and had to log in 3 times. I’m running XKit Rewritten and @pixiel ’s dashboard Stylus extension, btw.
i need pepple to understand that in the first place leather has always been made from the byproducts of butchering animals for meat, otherwise the skin is just tossed and unused. there were some companies farming for leather for a while, particuarly alligator leather, but those were not the norm. peta did so much harm in their campaigns against leather as a concept (its not unethical. yoi get the skin when an animal dies. thats why most leather clothes in the usa are cow leather, bc thats the biggest meat animal here) that its almost impossible to buy anything “leather” that isnt made of plastic that it so fragile and shitty that the very Thread Holding It Together rips the fibers apart. it will last for maybe a year two if youre lucky, and wont biodegrade and was made out of something that isnt naturally occurring in the first place and is one of the biggest causes of pollution globally
i do not care if you personally think nobody should slaughter or eat animals, it is Going to happen anyway. you cannot be so obtuse thst you think making more plastic that causes pollution endless damage to the animals you claim to care about so much is better than omnivorous human beings eating other animals and using their bodies completely.
the original got flagged with no way to appeal it when every contributor is deactivated but I will never let this post die. it’s monday and we are getting on it cunts
This is one of my favorite panels in the PMMM manga so I had to color it (this is the reprint version but I also love the original!) It’s when Madoka finally decides on her wish. I love the look of determination on her face!
Although Small Lady has been shown with two different dresses, this post will be focusing on the second (the first is just a clone of Princess Serenity’s gown).
Small Lady’s gown looks like it came right out of a fairytale storybook, truly fitting for the Princess of the 30th Century! Lace and frills are everywhere, complete with pearls and bows. It’s girly and attention-grabbing. And, of course, it’s in her signature color: Pink. Pink represents love, hope, compassion, femininity, and innocence, among other things. As the combination of white and red, pink shares the attributes of these very different colors. It contains the passion and energy of red, softened by the purity and completeness of white. Pink is feminine, romantic, affectionate, intimate, thoughtful, caring, tender, kind, and sensitive.
Pink is also the color of hope. It is a positive color that inspires a sense of wellbeing, a sense that everything will be okay. Finally, pink is the color of uncomplicated emotions, inexperience, and naiveté. Pink is the color most strongly associated with femininity, and Chibiusa’s biggest dream is to become a lovely, graceful lady.
Speaking of which, Small Lady’s gown both represents her coming of age and her individuality. After she transforms into her new Princess form at the end of the fourth arc, she’s shown to always wear her gown in Crystal Tokyo, just like Neo-Queen Serenity. Before this, she would just wear her school uniform around the Crystal Palace. After the events of the fourth arc, she’s finally grown into a lady and her costume change reflects this.
Finally, Small Lady’s dress shows that she’s not just a clone of her mother. In the anime, Small Lady’s gown is simply a clone of Princess Serenity’s. But in the manga, she gets a completely original and individual dress that reflects her and her own qualities, not her mother’s. Because she’s not her mother. She is a lady and a soldier in her own right.
