Several days at London Climate Action Week, participating in candid discussions and roundtables, left me with a strong sense of both urgency and opportunity. One message stood out throughout the week. As UN Secretary-General António Guterres put it: “Climate chaos is accelerating before our eyes” while we are simultaneously entering the “era of clean energy.” That combination is both sobering and motivating. At #Munters, it reinforces why we continue to focus on energy efficiency, electrification, and solutions that help industries reduce emissions while strengthening resilience and competitiveness. A few reflections stayed with me: 🔹 Energy efficiency remains the foundation. No matter how quickly new technologies emerge, the most immediate and scalable opportunities still start with using energy more efficiently. 🔹 AI can accelerate the transition. The pace of development is remarkable. Applied correctly, AI has the potential to optimize systems, improve decision-making, and unlock new ways to reduce energy use. 🔹 Collaboration is critical. The ambition is there. The challenge now is execution at scale. That requires stronger partnerships across industry, policymakers, academia, and across the value chain. An important step in that direction is Munters recently joining the #EnergyEfficiencyMovement and committing to #ElectrifyNow supporting the COP31 Presidency's renewed target for 35% electrification by 2035. The pace needs to accelerate.
