Okay, look. Back in my day, we were warned about Otherrealm safety, right? Don't give your real name, don't make promises, pay attention to exact words, all of that. Yes, maybe people were being excessively paranoid, but also, we understood there are bad things out there. And these days, kids just put their full names on Faerbook? And tell the things with teeth where they live? I think we have gotten so comfortable with this stuff that we're raising an arcanely illiterate generation, that's what we're doing. Oh, and don't get me started on people relying on eyeless chattering constructs rather than actual scrying. I blame Big Thaum, I really do.

Zombies shouldn't growl or snarl, they should babble a mixture of incomplete word sounds and whole words or sentence fragments. Every zombie should sound almost but not quite like it's trying to tell you something.

Like if you could just hear it more clearly, you'd understand what they're saying, but in reality it's nonsense and there's nothing to understand.

And damn if it doesn't convince so many folks that their loved ones are still in there, they just need to keep them locked up safely in the barn until someone finds the cure, then everything can go back to the way they were.

THIS is exactly what this particular zombie trope is missing. Like we all understand, conceptually, that this still looks like someone they love, but it would be 1000 times more effective if it still somewhat behaved like someone they love.

Baby those dried herbs need to sit in that jar with high proof alcohol for at LEAST a month!

That’s why before the use of calendars ppl use to prepare their tinctures either on the new moon or full moon. A a full moon cycle is usually 28 days or so. And they would give the moon names so it’s easier to remember when/what month said tincture was bottled.

This is also why herbal medicine is prepare in small batches. You have to take your time preparing your bottles. Making sure everything is clean so you don’t end up with mold. Diluting your grain alcohol. Heckkk knowing when to pick your herbs for max potency! Drying your herbs! That takes a lot of time too!

the thing about ffxv is the theology of it all goes SO HARD. like imagine if atlas was not some distant mythological tale but someone who you could literally go see with your own fucking eyes. one of the first major signs that things in niflheim were going unfixably south was when they quite literally murdered the goddess closest to them, and now her corpse will eternally lie there, refusing to rot as proof of what a crime against nature occurred there. the gods are not only real but Tangible, and they are not always immortal and they are not always on your side. fucking crazy!!!!!!

I knowwww, it’s so beautiful and I love it so much! It’s something that isn’t done a lot and does so well like in this game. I love everything about how they made the gods so real and material and emphasized both their mortality and their bigger than life shadow and power lurking over everyday people.

Did anyone else recently discover the Final Fantasy series of games?? I've known OF them for the longest time, but my husband recently purchased the Final Fantasy XV game to play again and I've been in a choke hold since 🤣🤣. So far it's been very much "bros being bros" as the world is actively burning around them lmao. He loves fishing in the game and is very, very proud of each of his catches - so far as taking pictures of them to send me if he's playing while I'm not home 🤣🤣.

I have next to no knowledge of the game or the series or the world, but I am currently head over heels for Ignis and for Ardyn - I very much have a type for smart guys who are also very hot 🤣🤣🤣.

Last night we played so much more of the game and tearsssssss 😭😭😭😭

One of my loves is very, very evil (but in a tragic way), and my other love has been blinded 😭😭😭😭. Running around with blinded Ignis was sending my husband off the deep end, but I was insisting he keep him in the party for my sake 🤣. Still treasure both of them, but Ardyn is on thin ice rn with me. What’s sad is I still love his character just as much, if not more, now that he’s openly evil, lmao.

He honestly gives off the vibes of one of my characters. Brigid Morgenstern. They’d get along swimmingly I think, lol. Though he’s definitely her sister Nari’s type and not hers since he’s too smart to be manipulated and wrapped around her finger.
