What I love about this site is the fact it’s the closest I’ve gotten to pre-2000 internet in years. No one knows anyone’s real name, photos are entirely optional, and we’re pretty sure at least one of our mutuals is 100% lying about everything. There’s a reason it’s one of the only social media sites I keep coming back to. It somehow manages to be just as horrible, enjoyable, and chaotic as 1990s chat rooms used to be.
The internet is a gentrified neighbourhood and we’re a stubborn old lady refusing to sell her run-down home to the developers.

Had a dream last night that i was a knight and this bigger scarier knight had me on the ground and right before he swung his sword at my neck he said smth like “i mourn the loss of life for the tree who will become your coffin” which shouldnt have turned me on like it did but alas
seeing people on twitter call buck “clifford the big red bisexual” and remembering clifford only grew so big because he was loved so hugely and unconditionally by emily elizabeth. and thinking about twinky lonely season one buck who’d just joined the 118. versus big beautiful beefcake season 8 buck after nearly a decade with bobby, hen, and chim, with his sister, with eddie and chris. so yeah, clifford the big red bisexual growing and growing and growing because their love for him is so damn big.
She’s also publicly stated that she believes that anyone who reads her books or watches her shows and films does so because they explicitly agree with her political views.
There’s no “agree to disagree” with her work. Every time you pick up her work or talk about it you are saying to her “I agree with you Joanne” whether you like it or not.
