Full time, self-employed Webworker from Hamburg since 2012, former moderator in the German WordPress.org support forum, former General Translation Editor (GTE) for German. Co-organizer of WordPress Meetup Hamburg and WordCamp Hamburg 2014.

WordPress Origin Story

After creating websites with HTML directly in a text editor for some years, I made my first WordPress website for a client in the year 2006. The earliest snapshot in the wayback machine shows version 2.0.4, but I think I started with 1.5.

This was a side gig, and it stayed this way until 2012. In this year I started my self-employment as full time WordPress freelancer.

This first website was under my maintenance for this client for 15 years and then I made the relaunch myself. Site has changed the domain name, but is still online and still under my maintenance 🙂
