Recognizing and extending rights to people with multiple partners is wonderful news, and its not too long of an article so I definitely reccomend the read!
But if you’re curious, the end of the article is where it talks about recognizing non-romantic partnerships:

oh no, we talk about straight people all the time, and “because they’re straight” is used very frequently to explain their many flaws
“Because im gay” - A phrase that has a variety of meanings, varied from memes (Cant sit straight because im gay, cant do math, cant drive), to intense bonds with friends due to shared trauma (eg. Chosen families - wanting to move in with all your friends, always being prepared to help someone with anxiety), ect.
“Because theyre straight” - Explains things like devaluing your spouse, or trying to flip punching up comments to be about the oppressed group; as though the real oppression in life isnt the systematic issues minorities go through’ its someone saying being around straight people is wild
