Black Jacket blends roguelite deckbuilding mechanics inspired by well-known blackjack, with a strong narrative focus, creating a loop that feels both strategic and story-driven rather than purely mechanical. While its systems are familiar within the genre, the way it ties progression and storytelling together gives it a unique identity and keeps the experience engaging throughout the gameplay.

Black Jacket is one of the more fascinating card-based roguelikes to come out recently. The dark atmosphere, strategic gameplay, satisfying progression systems, and endless experimentation make it very difficult to stop playing once a run starts.
Black Jacket is an addictive, well thought out and stylish gem of a game. I was very pleasantly surprised at how involved I got with the narrative, with each memory uncovered making me yearn for even more information. Overall, the developer has done an excellent job of elevating a simple game of Blackjack into something genuinely special. If you like card games, then Black Jacket should definitely be on your list of games to play this year.
Inspired by Inscryption, Black Jacket is a roguelike full of personality, featuring high replay value and accessible gameplay systems.
