Recorded primarily live, with an emphasis on first takes. the album features some Rothman’s closest collaborators, Amanda Shires, Jason Isbell and S.G. Goodman. On their second album Good Morning, America, Lawrence Rothman set out to create a sonic world that reverses course from the seemingly omnipresent injustices of recent times, building a landscape that places emphasis on equality and freedom of expression above all. In many ways, that makes this new eleven-song collection from Rothman a mission statement on the world as it ought to be in the post-pandemic, post-Trump era.
