  • At Axpo Group, negotiation is part of everyday life. With customers, partners, regulators, colleagues and internal stakeholders, the ability to navigate different interests and create sustainable solutions is essential to shaping the future of energy. That is why this year’s Axpo4Future Talent Day focused on “Negotiating from the driver’s seat.” The day opened with welcoming words from Martin Schwab and Magdalena Lech, before participants from across the Axpo Group deep-dived into the topic on powerful negotiations with world class negotiation consultant. The workshop focused on how to prepare for important conversations, understand priorities and alternatives, listen actively, and remain constructive and effective under pressure. The theory was then brought to life through practical examples from Daniele Corti and Joanna Juszczak, who shared insights from negotiations with clients and within Axpo. The day also put Axpo’s four values into practice: • Be a leader: Take ownership, create clarity – understand interests of the other party and your own limits. • Care about people: Lead with ampathy, listen actively and carefully, build trust.  • Create the future: Innovate and experiment – look beyond fixed positions to uncover needs and develop new possibilities. • Make it happen: Turn negotiations into action and balance ambition with realism and deliver tangible results. The final Talent Day marked an important milestone in the Axpo4Future journey. A big thank you to our talented participants for their openness, commitment and willingness to put their learning into practice. 🙌 #TalentDevelopment #EnergyTransition #Leadership #Axpo

Public services in Flanders are securing a greener future.     🤝 Axpo Group is pleased to announce a virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) with the Flemish energy agency Vlaams EnergieBedrijf, our first of this kind for Belgium's public sector.     By pooling demand from six key public entities, this agreement provides:     ➡️ Clean energy source: 45.5 GWh of Belgian onshore wind power annually, provided by Elicio.  ➡️ Long-term stability: 10 years of predictable energy costs for essential services such as a public transport company or a hospital.  ➡️ A new model for access: it proves that public entities can pool their resources to participate in the energy transition on a large scale.     This is a practical step forward, enabling the organisations that communities rely on to access renewable energy and manage costs effectively.     🎤 "This virtual PPA shows how tailored energy solutions can help public organisations advance their sustainability goals while managing price risk over the long term", noted Senior Originator Jeremiah Tops.     Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/ezqfk7XR 📸 Wind turbine in Sambreville, ©Elicio      #Axpo #RenewableEnergy #PPA #Belgium #Sustainability #EnergyTransition

“Bold decisions rarely look bold when you are making them.” That sentence came up in our panel "The Future Belongs to the Bold" and it may be one of the most honest sentences in any career story. Because boldness rarely arrives as a dramatic, perfectly timed leap. More often, it looks like: ·      saying yes before you have every answer ·      speaking up when the room is not expecting your voice ·      taking a different route through an industry that was not designed equally for everyone ·      making sure the next person does not have to fight the same unnecessary battles Three women from across the Swiss energy sector - Véronique Abrate, Corinna H. and Morgane Trieu-Cuot – shared the risks, doubts and turning points behind their careers. Not a polished success story. A real conversation. And here is the part we do not want to gloss over: women in energy are making progress, but the playing field is still not level. Confidence is not a substitute for fair opportunities. A panel is not a substitute for structural change. And “be bold” cannot become another way of asking individuals to solve systemic problems alone. So what does bold leadership look like? It looks like opening doors, not just encouraging people to walk through them. Challenging assumptions. Creating visibility. Sharing sponsorship. Changing the rules when the rules are the problem. Thank you to our panelists, to Alpiq and BKW AG for the cooperation, and to everyone who brought honest questions to the conversation. The future belongs to the bold. But the boldest move of all may be to build an industry where more people can belong, contribute and lead. #TheFutureBelongsToTheBold #WomenInEnergy #EnergyTransition #InclusiveLeadership #FutureOfWork

Heat, LNG disruption and low water levels lift European energy prices July saw European energy prices climb as shipping disruptions and persistent heatwaves tightened power market fundamentals. Our latest European Energy Markets Monthly (EEMM) details the key drivers reshaping the market: 🏭 Gas market volatility Geopolitical tensions halted LNG flows, driving TTF gas prices up over 30% to peak at 65at 65 EUR/MWh, while European LNG sendout fell to multi-year lows. 📈 Storage refill concerns With EU gas storage standing at only 57% full and deteriorating seasonal spreads discouraging commercial injections, reaching much more than 70% capacity by November appears difficult. 🌡️ Weather strains power generation Extreme summer heat and dry conditions across the continent affected inland nuclear cooling and coal transport, and spot electricity prices in most markets rose close to or above 100 EUR/MWh. ⏩ What’s next? Hot and dry conditions are expected to persist into mid-August, keeping spot prices high. Market stability will heavily depend on Hormuz shipping safety, the Asia–Europe LNG price differential, and Egypt’s ability to replace disrupted imports. 🗨️ “The interplay between geopolitics, weather conditions, and renewable integration reinforces the need for agility in energy markets,” notes Andy Sommer, Head of Fundamental Analysis, Modelling and Meteorology at Axpo Group. 👉 Read the full analysis here: https://lnkd.in/gtu-7gsc #Axpo #EEMM #EnergyMarkets #MarketAnalysis #AxpoAnalysis

👇 https://lnkd.in/e3ptjF_F
