Doctor Who is the only show that wakes me up. I'm not a huge TV fanatic and tend to find escape or solace in books or video games. It somehow makes me open to possibilities that I was only ever open to as a child. And it stirs the adult in me towards kindness, and to never take people at face value.

I have been swinging between playing Alien: Isolation and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Colons aside; the contrast between both games couldn’t be more obvious. But they work so well together. I play Isolation up until I feel my heart is on the verge of cardiac arrest and then bring its rate back down by traipsing around the Hinterlands in Dragon Age trying to find one-eyed Jimmy’s bloody ram.

Sometimes I feel as if kids who are the victims of gun violence are similar to the Baudelaire orphans. Count Olaf is the weapon of choice while most of today's ignorant, apathetic, asshat adults represent the "grownups" in his series. I want to scream at their incompetence, and it breaks my heart.
But then I remember what the kids who endured the Parkland shooting are undertaking, and they give me hope.

As of today, it seems as though there have only been 266,810 calls made to Congress. This is NOT good enough!! MILLIONS of people use the net, and if each one of them took 60 seconds to call and protect it, holy balls do you KNOW how much of a difference that would make???
