“Everything I do is gay,” says Chicago native Alex Chapman, the DJ/producer and dance-pop experimentalist who assembled this month’s Today’s Hits DJ mix. “I can’t help it, so I always lean into it. I included some remixes of my own, which are obviously iconic, and I also scoured the internet for fun, creative edits.” His mix features huge tracks from Lady Gaga, Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter and more, and he points to “Itty Bitty” as one of his favourites. “It’s a sneak peek of a remix I made of my girly Ashnikko’s song,” he says. “It’s hot, and camp, and fun. She is a superstar.” Others he loves: Tate McRae’s “Sports car (Devault Remix)” (“I love how slutty and 2000s it is,” he says) and his own collaboration with Tommy Genesis called “Slip & Slide”, which he says is “a hit for tops and bottoms everywhere.”
