having ocd as an artist truly is the mind-killer. can't try anything new in case you're bad at it, can't do anything you're good at in case you're bad at it, and of course being bad at it means you will immediately get fed into a saw trap.
this isn’t a sympathy bait post btw it’s just how my brain functions - not making something is less painful than being bad at making something, and i’m perpetually too terrified to start projects (i have a puppet i need to build) because it feels like the world will end if it sucks
