Well, it happened. Schell Games had a second, significant round of layoffs, affecting dozens of people. Including myself. I leave proud of what I accomplished with a dynamic team close to these 3 years in my second term there, and just over nine years overall. From introducing what virtual reality games could be, to rebranding initiatives, creating content creator processes in-house, marrying paid media, content creator, and organic activities into holistic campaigns, we did a lot of good there. Dwayne - You are unbelievably awesome, and I was so lucky to be able to have you as a manager. Every collaboration since I started was always made so fun and exciting, and I learned so much about marketing, social media management, and campaigns along the way. A total powerhouse who absolutely crushes it when it comes to anything marketing, advertising, branding, and more. I'm sure that wherever you go and whatever you do next, you're going to kill it and come up with experiences that totally blow people's minds.

Dwayne, I'm struggling with words right now, but I can't get over the word Powerhouse that Mia Friedel used. I'd also add mentor and more importantly, friend. My heart breaks for you, your family and all of the people affected. But no matter what, I know the next thing you'll do will be great and focus on bringing people together and helping your team and others along the way.
