Postcard, Otsego Hall, Fenimore Cooper’s Home, Cooperstown, New York, undated.  Personal commentary-- Cooper took what was a brilliant example of Federal-style architecture and gummed it all up with Gothic.  I’m as big a fan of Gothic as the next person, but he couldn’t leave well enough alone.
