As the first-of-its-kind legislation in the United States, SB 707 establishes a formal framework for the collection, repair, reuse and recycling of apparel and textile products.

General Industry

A PRO is a non-profit or for-profit entity established by producers to collectively manage the end-of-life of their products. In the context of California’s textile EPR law (SB 707), PROs will be responsible for funding and implementing programs to collect, sort, and recycle textile waste.
