The Guts Legacy Challenge

Nearly three years to the day since I first posted the Sour Legacy Challenge and Guts is finalllllly ready for you (never thought I'd see the day) 😭🤘✨

Same drill as before: the rules are lax, make this your own, take it slow or fast, use lots of mods and cheats or don't, I don't care—my only hope is that this helps you tell a creative, chaotic story in our favorite little dollhouse game.

The Secret Challenge

Uncover the mysteries of The Sims 4 with the Secret Legacy Challenge, where each generation embarks on a journey to reveal hidden gameplay features and explore secret worlds! This is not your ordinary legacy challenge—it’s designed to push your creativity, encourage exploration, and uncover the lesser-known parts of the game that make The Sims 4 so magical.

Every generation in this 12-generation challenge focuses on a unique secret aspect of the game, whether it’s a hidden aspiration, an undiscovered world, or an exciting new gameplay feature. From mastering the Grilled Cheese aspiration to becoming a Spellcaster, traveling to alien worlds, or befriending the Grim Reaper, there’s a secret waiting to be unlocked in every chapter of your Sim’s story.

The challenge is designed to be flexible and story-driven. You can rename your Sims to match your vision—there’s no need to stick with the names on their Sim cards. Instead, let your imagination take over and create a rich narrative for each generation.

Rules:

• Play through all 12 generations, following the provided traits, aspirations, careers, and goals.
• No cheats allowed! Cheats that fix glitches or bugs are fine, but everything else must be earned.
• Stick to the goals and secret requirements for each generation.
• Use either the Normal or Long lifespan for added challenge and realism.
• Optional: Create unique, themed homes for each generation to match their story!

This challenge is all about taking your time, savoring the details, and discovering new aspects of the game. It’s an adventure of creativity and storytelling, perfect for players who love hidden surprises and in-depth gameplay.

Scents Legacy Challenge

This is a legacy challenge I created. These are some generally well liked scents. Can be played with vanilla, banilla or berry sims. I hope you like it. Rules are no cheats and to complete all the requirements before the death of each sim. Founder and Heirs must live on lot until death. Non-Heir Sims can be moved off lot. Normal lifespan recommended. Must be placed on an empty lot with a house you built yourself. Starting house can be built with the starting funds of the game. If you have any questions, let me know. Also, if you're curious, comment any questions about why I choose what I choose for the tasks. I was very purposeful.

Generation One: Lavender

"Known to bring grace and good luck, tranquil lavender's gift to us is the peace of mind." - Unknown

Your Founder is based on Lavender. Lavender is relaxation, optimism and a joyful frame of mind. Your founder's desire in life is to have peace. She or he finds the most peace of mind by helping other and gardening.

Optional color: Purple

Must max out flower arranging skill

Must either have gardening career or stay at home making money from gardening

Must prefer purple

When tense, must take lavender soak if have spa day Must volunteer at least 5 times with family

Must attend romance festival and marry someone you met there

Generation Two: Coffee

"I don't need an inspirational quote. I need coffee" - Unknown

This Heir grew up with a calm, content parent. They never tried to be anything more than just whatever made them happy. Your Coffee sim found that lacking. People love Coffee for it's richness and use it to keep them going and focused. This is what Coffee strives for.

Optional color: Black

Must have coffee every morning

Must work as barista as a teen

Must reach top of career before getting a different job

Must reach top of second career of your choice

Must have ambitious trait

Must reach level 5 of fitness

Must exercise or be productive when energized

Generation Three: Eucalyptus

"There's nothing quite as soothing for the mind and body like Eucalyptus tea and conversation with a friend." -SimmingSongbird

The Eucalyptus heir had hardworking parents who were more focused on their career then them. That being said, this sim spent a lot of time with his or her grandparent. This grandparent brought a soothing energy to Eucalyptus and combined with their social desire, created a sim who wanted friends and balance.

Optional color: Green

Must make herbal tea when guests come over

Must have a wellness based aspiration and must complete it

Must have a part time job

Must teach yoga in spare time

Must have at least 5 good friends

Must have roommates (can live in CAS household but cannot be played by you)

Must set up two people and attend their wedding (can play them for this)

Generation Four: Vanilla

"In a world of chocolate, red velvet, and black current, I crave vanilla." - Sindhu

The Vanilla heir had a life that was not particularly special. The parents allowed them to do whatever they wanted and did not push them in any way, leaving them to just live simply. Vanilla likes simplicity and being in the background. Some say Vanilla is basic, but to them, it's the perfect amount of tasteful.

Optional color: Yellow

Must master baking skill

Must bake a vanilla item once a week

Must have a "basic" life (Base game career, one love interest, no more than two children)

Must never go to the club

Must have good relationship with siblings, parents, spouse and children

Any life decisions must simple or basic

Bonus Generation: Chocolate

"Mama always said life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." - Forrest Gump

The Chocolate sim was very unlike Vanilla. Chocolate took the freedom and ran with it. Unpredictable and fun, the chocolate sim lived like to the fullest. Wanting to be seen, heard, and appreciated, Chocolate desires extravagance.

Optional color: Dark Brown but since chocolate comes in a variaty of ways, you can combine colors like white, black, brown, red, blue and green.

Must be Vanilla's sibling

Since every chocolate is different, traits for this sim have to be randomized every age up

Must throw a party every life stage

Must gain gold on each party

Must have one negative trait

Must have at least 5 careers. before settling on a career as an elder

Must have one of Romantic aspiration

Generation Five: Pumpkin

"I'm no Cinderella, but I know that pumpkins are magical." - Unknown.

The Pumpkin heir grew up surrounded by a lot. Deciding it was too much, they decided to pick one thing to focus on. Something about the first time their parent hosted a costume party with pumpkins and gnomes, this sim decided that all things fall would transform their life.

Optional color: Orange

Must grow pumpkins and get first prize for one in a fair (if you have cottage living)

Must have pumpkin carving station

Must master pumpkin carving

Must have a great Harvestfest every time it comes in game.

Must appease the gnomes and keep them year round

Must have at least one costume outfit in CAS

Must woohoo in a leaf pile

Bonus: if you date death

Generation Six: Peppermint

"As the first snow falls, I return inside to watch from the window with the sweet scent of peppermint cocoa. I think to myself that this truly is the best season of all." - SimmingSongbird

The Peppermint Heir never got the Winterfest they wanted. Their parent was so focused on fall, winter was quickly forgotten. Snuggled up by the fireplace reading, one cold, winter night, the Peppermint Heir learned that peppermint cocoa made reading, learning and winter something to celebrate.

Optional Color: Green, White or Red, or all three.

Must have a knowledge aspiration and must complete it

Must always have a wonderful winter fest

Must have candy cane decoration

Must try for baby with father winter (may marry him if you like)

Must declare love for snow

Must shower every morning

Must own cat

Generation Seven: Cinnamon

"Cinnamon bites and kisses simultaneously." - Vanna Bonta

The Cinnamon heir learned love for spices from it's parent. But rather than get stuck in a holiday, Cinnamon wanted to explore all the world of spices and flavors. So cooking became their sweet passion . But every now and then they needed to spice up their life just a little.

Optional color: Red or Brown or Reddish Brown

Must go to spice festival every opportunity

Date people you meet at the festival or work

Have at least three good relationships before settling down.

Must win spice challenge

Must master cooking skill

Must have a good trait

Must have one bad trait

You must complete at 2 whims every day to create spontaneity

Bonus Generation: Ginger

"All things nice and gingerful." - Unknown

Perhaps it was the holiday spirit that taught this Ginger sim to make make it's life worthwhile. To give to others and be the best sim it can be. This sim's purpose in life is to help others and be useful.

Optional color: Tan

Must be Cinnamon's sibling

Must have red or orange hair

Must have doctor career

Must complete career

Must have Renaissance Sims aspiration and must get to at least level 5

Must have handiness skill at level 5

Must have mean trait

Mean trait must go away after marriage

Generation Eight: Coconut

"The two basic items necessary to sustain life are sunshine and coconut milk." - Dustin Hoffman

This is the motto of the Coconut heir. It decided that life wasn't about working hard to achieve your dreams. You could achieve success and happiness simply by being. The coconut heir lives it's life in constant bliss.

Optional color: White

Must vacation to Sulani once every life stage if not more

Must date/seduce/marry a mermaid

Must have no job and mooch off family members or spouse

Must plant a coconut tree

Must have lazy trait

Must have beach life aspiration and must complete at least 2 aspirations

Must get to level five of fitness only by swimming

Generation Nine: Rain

"Anyone who says that sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain." - Unknown

Life was always happiness and sunshine for the Rain Heir's parent. Problems were ignored and there were no downs. This sim had to learn how appreciate the downs when no one else would. To see the beauty behind the sadness through creativity. To smile and enjoy the rain in all it's slow comfort.

Optional color: Blue

Must declare love for rain to at least 5 sims every life stage (can be the same sims).

Must have gloomy trait

Must have creative trait

Must read at least 5 books

Must shower in rain

Must kiss in rain

Must complete a creative aspiration

Must have a creative career and may complete it

Generation Ten: Fire

"I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around." - Unknown

The Fire Heir learned to embrace who they are through their parent. He or she loves enjoying living life and exploring the great unknown as well as finding comfort at home. It is thanks to this attitude that when tragedy comes, she or he is stronger than the struggles.

Optional color: Red, Orange, Brown, Yellow, or all four colors.

Must own campfire or fireplace

Must have hot headed trait

Must have family oriented trait

Must vacation to granite falls every life stage

Must have outdoor enthusiast aspiration

Must complete it

Must cause fire in home at least once per life stage

Optional story aspect: Burns house down at some point before becoming an elder. If you choose to do so you can rebuild with a lot of green and plants as growth comes from fire. May even decide to live off the land.

With Surely's majestic things and Doc's unrivaled level of gorgeousness, my own part has to make up for the lack of glam with fun little bits for you to find. That extra year of exp gain helped a lot, and I hope it shows as you explore my objects. As long as you enjoy it I'd say it's time well spent! But, do me a favor, yes? Do poke that hidey hole a bit. Especially scared sims will love it and I'm not even being sarcastic here.

Enchanted Bedroom Set (Maxis Match Build/Buy CC!)

I really enjoy the mystical, magical vibe (I mean if you know me you know), and I wanted more of that in the game. This set was super fun to make and I learned a lot of things for it, one of them being how to make custom bedding deform properly while animating. It was very frustrating for a while, but satisfying once I got it.

One item I find very fun in this set is the Geode Lamp, which is technically a lamp but can be a plain crystal geode if you turn it off. It emits a soft glow which also lets you customize its hue to your liking in-game as well! The Sun Goddess Mirror can also be placed at any height you choose, similar to paintings in the game.
