The International Journalism Festival, held every April in Perugia Italy, is the biggest annual media event in Europe (191 sessions and 524 speakers in the 2026 programme). The festival is an open invitation to interact with the best of world journalism. All sessions are free entry for all attendees, without tickets and without the need for registration. All venues are situated in the stunning setting of the historic town centre of Perugia. 2026 festival supporters included Google News Initiative, Craig Newmark Philanthropies, MacArthur Foundation, Deutsche Welle Akademie, Knight Foundation, McKinsey & Company and Microsoft. The next festival will take place in Perugia from 14 to 17 April 2027.
