Even while in such disarray, the House of Hope is so beautiful. I'm not even being bias when I say this is my favorite BG3 location of all time.
"Yet, meeting him, you will delay,
Struck by besmusement in midmotion,
And pause in worshipful devotion
At beauty's sacred shrine to pray"
"Beauty" Alexander Pushkin, 1832
Dear Raphael, golden statues are certainly rich and majestic, but firstly, it don't look like you, and secondly, it's just lifeless metal pieces. So accept this gift from me. The artist put her soul (literally) into this work to embody your perfection in noble white marble.
And, what can I say in the end? Enjoy, sunshine😊, whatever you want!)
Also leave the link to my google drive, where you can download this art in original quality (don't worry, it's free) (I just crying, becose Tumblr cut the colors again😭)
P.S.: Who noticed the flower?🤭 (Narcissus for the Greatest Narcissist in the Nine Hells)

“Maybe I like looking trans "oh your voice is too deep" Maybe I like having a deep voice. Maybe I'm not your femme fantasy. Maybe I'm my own fantasy. I love looking trans. I fucking hope that when I walk down the street, they say, "look at that transsexual!" And just maybe someone will see me and think, "hey, I can live that way, too."”
guy sitting in front of me in class was vandalizing wikipedia and i kept reverting his edits as soon as he made them and he couldn't figure out why it was happening

The radius and ulna are among my favourite bones specifically because they do this
I hate this. I hate that they do this. I think about this every time I rotate my wrist. It seems like the sort of thing that would go wrong in all sorts of horrible ways and leave a bone sticking out of my skin. and yet it keeps happening. every day of my life.
I rotate my arms regularly just because I like it when they do this.
iiiiiii dont. think thats how bones work
Yeah i doubt someone would make these gifs for the purpose of an online joke so I have no choice but to believe it
i have a degree is bones (bioarchaeology) this is how bones work and i hate it
For fellow autistic people who aren't sure whether this is a joke: I asked my mother, who has an MD, and she said this is in fact how those bones rotate
You also can either use Google or Literally Just Feel Your Arm Where The Bones Are
This post continues to piss me off because of the number of people who are disturbed or in denial about this extremely simply checkable fact. If you can't handle your arm bones rotating, how the fuck can you be prepared to find out that when doctors do abdominal surgery they just shove your intestines back in there, and the intestines wiggle their way back into place? What about the fact that your eyeballs are on a separate immune system from the rest of your body and need to be hidden from your main immune system so it doesn't start attacking them. Do you even know that digestion should be an extremely painful process but your brain just blocks it out? You people disgust me
This is called pronation and not all animals can do it! Primates and felines are two well known groups that can do it. This is why we can have so much flexibility with how we move our wrists and hands! It is veye helpful for climbing! And grabbing things!
One example of animals that cannot do this are dinosaurs!
I haven't played around much with the idea of a fantasy people species without the ability to turn their wrists, but it would be intersting to explore, since it would restrict how they move their hands
As a biologist who didn't do great in my anatomy classes (I prefer behavioral studies) I need confirmation; are raccoons one of the animals that do this? It seems likely, what with their grabby hands, but if they have something else going on I need to know
yes, raccoons can do it! I believe most, if not all, tree-climbing mammals are capable of pronating their wrists because it allows for a better grip. Though I haven't looked into every group of mammals, so I could be wrong on that. Raccoons and squirrels are definitely both capable of it, I'm sure of that much.
so im currently in a chimpanzee biology class, and some things that I have learned:
- technically, I’m pretty sure basically only apes can PRONATE their wrists like this. Most mammals have their wrists permanently locked in a pronated position with little wiggle room. Same thing was going on with dinosaurs, but instead of being locked in a pronated position, they were locked in a neutral position.
- other tree climbing mammals can pronate and supinate their wrists to an extent, but nowhere near human levels of wacky twisting. Our exceptionally twisty ulna and radius are an adaptation to suspensions locomotion, because it allows us (aka our ancestors/relatives) to pivot in place while keeping a firm grip on a branch. I’m not sure if spider monkeys also have this adaptation, because they have some pretty suspensory behaviors, I’d have to look that up.
- Essentially, a lot of the weird skeletal things we have going on can be chalked up to being weird and silly apes, and not necessarily just being mammals in general (though that tends to make us pretty weird and silly too).

I can’t ever leave tumblr because I just love the tag function.. no other social media platform allows you to heckle yourself on your own post. you get to preemptively make metatextual commentary abt your OWN POST. how cool is that
