the absurdity of the "innie" and "outtie" terms to refer to who this person is at work (where they can only remember being there and are unable to remember anything else) and out of work (cannot remember anything that happens at work) is done for the same reasons companies say stuff like their all a family and that its there to make something seem nice and soft and fuzzy and not like the horrific violation it is to have your memories surgically split and to be two people one of which exists entirely to work and literally never gets to stop doing so

I don’t wanna be a hater but that premise sounds stupid and I kind of want to know how the developers in-canon react to questions like “what if the work person has a mental breakdown from doing nothing but work” and “how does the not-work person feel about only existing for like 8ish hours at a time with huge gaps in between” and “if someone does a crime at work, does the not-work half go to jail too” or “what if the two halves, living different experiences, straight up evolve into different people with different desires” and “what if they quit their job”
Actually I kind of want to watch and find out for real if they address my questions
….Actually never mind, this sounds like it would be stressful to watch like Game of Thrones, I’m back out again
