I wanted to try doing something opposite of what I'd usually do. Please don't expect it too often from me :')

I couldn't choose one specific ship so I made all four. For that, they can be combined and everyone can choose their own shipping ;)

Watching Strange World, I at first expected the whole ☆Thing☆ to be Ethan taking after his grandfather and Searcher having to learn to accept Jaeger in order to accept his son, so the ending was a pleasant surprise.

Yes, Ethan is an explorer, but his exploration is something new and different, not at all like Jaeger's dominating, conquering attitude.

Ethan wants to explore, but not for glory or to prove anything, he just wants to know what's there. He wants to reach out and touch something beautiful, to learn and grow and discover for the sake of discovery.

The crew only succeeds because of Ethan. Yes, the expertise of Searcher and Jaeger and Meridian and Callisto are important, but if Ethan wasn't there with his deeply kind heart and open curiosity, their entire world would have died.

It didn't matter how smart Searcher was, or how heroic Jaeger could be, how skilled a pilot Meridian is, without this sweet, delightfully awkward, friendly kid who falls into a new environment and almost immediately makes a new friend, they would have lost.
