Nir Cohen אהבתי את זהNir Cohen אהבתי את זהHow I reduced #Kubernetes costs. Kubernetes resource optimization is not about just reducing node count. It is about fixing the gap between requested resources, actual utilization, workload behavior, and scheduling efficiency. While managing multiple K8S clusters supporting various distributed workloads, I used #Goldilocks to identify and address resource inefficiencies. It uses VPA recommendations to show where CPU and memory requests are significantly higher or lower than actual usage. While Goldilocks was useful for visibility, resource allocation was still manual, and required continuous updation of values which weren't dynamic based on real-time usage. Then I onboared a tool called ScaleOps, and it helped move from static recommendations to continuous optimization. Instead of manually reviewing utilization and updating Helm values, resource requests could be adjusted based on actual workload behavior while accounting for performance and availability requirements. The process was not simply “reduce every request.” It's about evaluating CPU and memory usage across peak and normal traffic periods. Throttling, OOMKills, restart frequency, and container working sets HPA behavior and whether scaling signals were based on realistic requests. Stateful and JVM-based applications required deeper analysis because memory usage and startup behavior were not always represented accurately by averages. The biggest improvement came from treating cost optimization as a continuous platform capability rather than a one-time cleanup exercise. The goal is not the lowest possible Kubernetes bill. The goal is the best cost-to-reliability ratio without slowing down engineering teams. Nir Cohen אהבתי את זהNir Cohen אהבתי את זהאתמול היה לי הכבוד להעביר וורקשופ על Agentic Malware Reverse Engineering. המטרה שלי ב��דנה הייתה לקחת את השיעורים שלמדנו בצוות ממחקר אייגנטי של אלפי דגימות Malware, ולהראות איך מתרגמים אותם לבניית Agent שבאמת עוזר לחוקר - לא רק כזה שנראה טוב בדמו. דיברנו על איך עוברים מ-Agent “כללי” ל-Agent מומחה: כזה שמבין את תהליך המחקר, יודע לעבוד עם כלים רלוונטיים, שואל את השאלות הנכונות, ומייצר ערך אמיתי בתוך סביבת עבודה מציאותית. המשתתפים קיבלו סביבת מחקר מלאה, שאפשרה להם לקפוץ ישר ללכלך את הידיים: לנתח, להתנסות, לשבור, לשפר - ולהבין איך Agentic workflows יכולים להשתלב בעבודה היומיומית של חוקרי Malware. מעבר לזה, היה כיף לראות קהל איכותי של חוקרים סקרנים, עם הבנה טכנית עמוקה ורצון אמיתי להבין איך רותמים את הטכנולוגיות החדשות לעבודה המחקרית העמוסה שכולנו מכירים. בזמן שתוקפים משתמשים ב-AI כדי למצוא חולשות, לכתוב כלים ולהאיץ תהליכים - אנחנו צריכים לבנות את כלי המחקר וההגנה של מחר. מבחינתי, הסדנה הזאת הייתה עוד צעד בכיוון הזה. תודה רבה ל-עמותת בוגרי מערך ההגנה בסייבר Raviv Rachmiel Eyal Shamir Ruth Hellerman על ההזדמנות, ולכל מי שהגיע, שאל, אתגר ולקח חלק.

What I did know was that I believed in the mission, and I believed in Yodar Shafrir. At the time, ScaleOps was still in its early stages. There were more questions than answers, plenty of uncertainty, and an enormous opportunity ahead. Looking back, joining was one of the best professional decisions I've made. Today, I'm excited and humbled to share that I've been promoted to VP of Customer Experience at ScaleOps. This promotion means a lot to me, not because of the title, but because of the journey behind it. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to help build and scale our Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Customer Success, and Support organizations while working alongside some incredibly talented people. I've learned more than I could have imagined, both professionally and personally. A special thank you to Yodar Shafrir. Your leadership, mentorship, trust, and continuous push to be the best version of myself have had a huge impact on my growth. You've challenged me to think bigger, take ownership, and go beyond my comfort zone every single time. For that, I'll always be grateful. I'd also like to thank Yarden Weber for the guidance, support, and advice throughout this journey. What's even more exciting is where we're headed - The AI infrastructure shift is moving faster than anyone predicted. Inference and GPU demand are exploding, and infrastructure complexity was already difficult to manage manually. AI is accelerating that challenge dramatically. Engineers should be focused on building products and AI workflows, not spending their time managing infrastructure. Inference and GPU demand is exploding. Agentic workflows are throwing huge, bursty, non-deterministic load at compute, and what was already impossible to manage manually is only getting worse. Engineers should be building workflows, not managing infrastructure. The only real answer is autonomous infrastructure orchestration. A layer that sees the full picture with all the context, and acts in real time without a human in the loop, so engineers stay focused on building - That is exactly what we are building at ScaleOps.
