But their goals are tightly intertwined. Product is trying to improve UX without hurting ad revenue. AdOps is trying to grow ad revenue without hurting UX. That tension can turn into a tug of war if it’s not managed well. It doesn't have to be that way. In my experience, teams collaborate more effectively when Product and AdOps are more closely aligned. Even within the same org, or at least cross-trained in each other’s work. It reduces knowledge gaps and aligns incentives around the same outcomes. Publishers – how are Product and AdOps structured in your org? Does it create alignment or friction?

What Will Loyalty Look Like in an Era Where the Customer Is a Creative Artificial Intelligence? Dr. Roee Tzazna, a futures and AI researcher at Tel Aviv University, addressed how artificial intelligence will reshape customer communication and loyalty in commerce. He emphasized that AI creates a "network of agents" with strong persuasive abilities, capable of cross-referencing vast amounts of information to influence purchasing decisions, signaling a major upcoming shift in customer-brand interactions. He outlined three scenarios for the future of loyalty. In the first, AI agents act independently from the human customer, making purchases without emotional attachment, leading companies to focus on convincing AI agents rather than maintaining traditional customer loyalty. The second scenario involves agents amplifying their customers' existing preferences, such as prioritizing green products, possibly causing customers to unknowingly pay higher prices. The third, less likely scenario, involves companies' AI agents overpowering or manipulating customer agents, although Dr. Tzazna cautioned that such deception capabilities are limited. Dr. Tzazna stressed the uncertainty of the future but underscored the need to prepare for AI-driven changes in customer dynamics.
